Flora Ornamental Espana: Aspectos Historicos y Principales Especies. 2011. (Monografias de Bouteloua,8). 273 p. 4to. Paper bd.- In Spanish.
A brief history of gardening and the presence of ornamental plants in Spanish botanical literature. We provide an entry for each plant, including its scientific name, family, common names, synonyms, chorology, and in some cases its natural habitat, accompanying species, flowering period, morphological description, growing conditions (with details on light, watering, soil type, etc.), and its use in cultivation: seasonal plant, hedges, solitary shrubs, groups of trees, etc. We include quotations from Spanish and foreign authors, primarily French and English horticulturists and botanists from the 18th and 19th centuries, regarding the cultivation or use of these plants in the gardens of the period, as well as quotations from Spanish authors, from the Muslim period up to the 19th century, and the history of the species in cultivation.
